Our left hand Bell IV Side Saddle putter with a 390 grams head weight is a full mallet putter milled from 303 Stainless Steel billets. It features a heel-toe-weighted mallet putter design in a side-saddle (Face-On) style putter.

The side-saddle, often called a face-on putter, provides a putting stroke that helps with the “Yips” so common for older golfers. Sam Snead was known for using the Side-Saddle technique, which helped increase its popularity in the golfing world. The USGA initially ruled the Side-Saddle putter non-conforming, but it was later approved and allowed in USGA tournaments.

The mallet side saddle putter lie angle is upright at 77 degrees and within USGA Guidelines to allow usage in USGA events. The side-saddle is often the answer for the senior player with back pain from practice putting with standard length putters.  Unlike standard length and contemporary broom style putting strokes, the Side Saddle is designed to have both feet pointed to the target line and the golf ball is outside of your right foot for the right-handed golfer.  A good illustration is found in YouTube videos of Sam Snead putting with a Side Saddle style of putter.  Bowlers often like side saddle putting as the putting technique is very similar.

We make the only side-saddle putters milled from 303 Stainless Steel in the USA!

Assembled with a Winn 2-piece putter grip.  The SuperStroke Tour 2-piece 1.0 putter grip is available for an additional $30.00 at checkout.  Both putter grips feature a 5-inch gap between the upper and lower putter grips.
