The Half-Offset putter in recent years provide a compromise between full-offset and non-offset putters.  Currently, the majority of putters sold in golf stores and pro shops are made to half-offset or ¾ offset designs.  For 10-15 years most golfers have learn and enjoyed the game of golf with these offset putters.  Recent trends however, have seen professional golfers on all three tours (PGA, LPGA, Champions) switching to a variety of putter styles.  However, Half-Offset putters continue to be the most common putter style in professional and amateur golf.
