The Left-Hand Bell III Side-Saddle in a half mallet design and often called a face-on putter, provides a putting stroke that helps with the “Yips” so common for older golfers. Sam Snead was known for using the Side-Saddle technique, which helped increase its popularity in the golfing world. The USGA initially ruled the Side-Saddle putter non-conforming, but it was later approved and allowed in USGA tournaments.

Putter head weight is 365 grams.

In response to customer feedback, we increased the lie angle from 75 degrees to 77 degrees for 2025.  The putter upright lie is within USGA Guidelines of 79 degrees to allow usage in USGA events. The side-saddle is often the answer for the senior player with back pain from practice putting with standard length putters.  Unlike standard length and contemporary broom style putting strokes, the Side Saddle is designed to have both feet pointed to the target line and the golf ball is outside of your right foot for the right-handed golfer.  A good illustration is found in YouTube videos of Sam Snead putting with a Side Saddle style of putter.

  • Left-handed side-saddle half mallet putter milled from 303 Stainless Steel billets.
  • Standard weighted (365 grams) mallet heel-toe-weighted putter design in a side-saddle (face-on) style putter.  Features a 5" gap between upper and lower grips.
  • We make the only side-saddle putters milled from 303 Stainless Steel in the USA!
  • Craftsmanship at its best!  Bowlers often like side saddle putting as the side saddle putting technique is very similar.
