Tariffs and Bell Putters!

I've received several inquiries about how the newly imposed tariffs on golf equipment imported from China will affect prices. As of April 20, 2025, here's what we know:

The recently announced tariff is an additional 145% on top of the existing 11.9% tariff, making the total effective tariff now 156.90%. Since the majority of golf equipment companies import most or all of their golf clubs from China, the impact on costs will be significant. This effectively means that the cost to American golf equipment companies—and subsequently, potentially to golfers—could more than double.

Every company in the golf industry will need to decide individually how much of these increased costs will be passed along to customers, and when these increases might show up in local golf shops or pro shops.

At Bell Putters, however, we're proud to take a different path. We uniquely manufacture our custom golf putters here in Nebraska and Iowa, proudly CNC milling our putter heads from high-quality 303 stainless steel. All finishing, assembly, and shipping processes are handled locally. While we anticipate some increases in costs for components such as Winn grips, SuperStroke grips, True Temper shafts, and Apollo shafts, our promise to our customers is that we are committed to maintaining our current website prices for Bell Custom Putters through the end of 2025.
