The Bell III Side-Saddle, in a half mallet design and often called a Face-on putter, provides a putting stroke that helps with the “yips” commonly experienced by older golfers. Sam Snead was known for using the Side-Saddle technique, which helped increase its popularity in the golfing world. The USGA initially ruled the Side-Saddle putter non-conforming, but it was later approved and allowed in USGA tournaments.

Putter head weight is 365 grams with Matte (non-glare) finish.  Straight steel shaft with a face-balance design.  New for 2024 and now available! Also new with Winn 15" Counter-Balance grip in separate listing.

The putter lie is upright at 76 degrees and within USGA Guidelines to allow usage in USGA events. The side-saddle is often the answer for the senior player with back pain from practice putting with standard length putters.  Unlike standard length and contemporary broom style putting strokes, the Side Saddle is designed to have both feet pointed to the target line and the golf ball is outside of your right foot for the right-handed golfer. A great example can be seen in YouTube videos of Sam Snead putting with a side-saddle style putter.
